Dr. Josh Farmer
My name is Dr. Josh Farmer & I am the owner of Maverick Chiropractic. I travel between the Forney and Wills Point locations to serve each community. I graduated from Parker Chiropractic College in 2009. I am proud of the exceptional Chiropractic education and training I have received. My primary focus is on wellness, and I aspire to help people achieve optimal health. I have worked with patients ranging from only a few hours old, to patients well into their 90’s. My adjusting techniques are gentle, specific and thorough. I have mastered a wide range of techniques including Diversified, Drop Techniques, Pediatrics, Activator, and Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT). This allows me to care for you in a manner best suited for what your body requires. I believe you have the right to know how your body works! I will support you in addressing your specific and personal areas of concern in order to help you reach and maintain optimal health.
I was born and spent most of my childhood in New Mexico. After graduating high school, I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. This is where I met my beautiful wife, Mandi, who is from Arlington, TX. After I completed Chiropractic school in Dallas, we decided to move to Australia. I was employed by Total Lifestyle Chiropractic in Australia for seven years and was fortunate to serve and help many people.
Our family has grown since we left Texas eight years ago with the addition of our thirteen-year-old daughter, Mckinley, our eleven-year-old son, Kyler, and our seven-year-old daughter, Kolbie. My spare time is mainly spent on reading, cycling, soccer, volleyball, church, and spending quality time with my family. I am passionate about education and sharing my knowledge with the community. I am available for speaking engagements at your school, workplace, church group, or community group.
I look forward to meeting and supporting you and your family on your journey for health and wellness. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve you.
Dr. David LaFerney
My name is David LaFerney (Dr. David), and I am enthusiastic about becoming the newest member of the Maverick Chiropractic team in Forney. One of my goals as a doctor in the Chiropractic profession is to help increase the population of people who receive Chiropractic care.
I was raised in Irving, Texas, and I earned Bachelors degrees in both Finance and Biology at the University of Texas at Dallas, and then I received my Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in 2017.
I have always wanted to pursue a career as a doctor due to the severe migraines I suffered from as a child, which were only relieved by Chiropractic care. I also chose the path of Chiropractic due to its emphasis on treating others by utilizing one’s own body to help heal itself from within without the use of medications and/or surgery. I also recognize that God has worked through me by helping me motivate people to consider their health as a priority in their busy lives, through education and guidance. I pride myself in being a principled Chiropractor by utilizing a holistic approach to my patient care, which includes not only caring for physical health and well-being, but also emotional and spiritual. I help patient’s achieve this by providing gentle, safe, and focused Chiropractic adjustments.
When I am not serving my patients and the community, I enjoy hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, and spending time with my family and loved ones. I look forward to joining the team at Maverick Chiropractic in Forney and Terrell to help serve my community in providing long lasting Chiropractic care.
Dr. Allison Markee
Hi! My name is Dr. Allison Markee. I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker University in August of 2019 with my undergraduate studies in Microbiology. I was born in the Midwest and moved a lot as a child. I feel like growing up in a biracial family and living in the Middle East during some of my childhood has given me a unique perspective of the world. I’m currently living in Rockwall just a few minutes from the lake. I consider myself pretty “crunchy” so I like to spend my time doing health conscious activities- cooking healthy and delicious meals, making smoothies, juices and kombucha, partaking in hiking, yoga and meditation.
I have a deep passion for holistic health and healing. This journey began in high school when my mom was diagnosed with Lyme’s. She decided not to go the traditional treatment route and sought help from a Naturopathic Doctor who was able to help her heal. Along the way, she taught my sister and I about natural healing and eventually she decided to become an ND as well. It was at this point that I knew I wanted to go into a profession where I was able to make a positive impact on people’s health.
While I was working on my undergraduate studies at Stephen F Austin, I woke up with the typical “crick” in my neck which lead me to my very first chiropractic appointment. After only three adjustments, I was gathering transcripts and records to transfer to Dallas to start chiropractic school. I’ve always been curious about the cause of dysfunction in the human body. Through chiropractic, I learned that the ‘root’ cause of any dysfunction can be physical, mental/emotional and chemical. I have a desire to optimize health in all three of these areas and to teach my patients to do the same.
My two biggest values as a chiropractor are to empower and educate my patients. If you see me in the office, please feel free to ask me any of your burning health questions!
Dr. Hannah Boone
Hi, my name is Dr. Hannah Boone and I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker University in December of 2021 and started here at Maverick right away. I was born and raised in Forney and am so thankful for the opportunity to serve this community and the surrounding area! Through my undergrad education I worked at Chick-fil-A in Forney full time and attribute much of my leadership skills and servant heart to my time there.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Brett Boone, whom I met while working at Chick-fil-A. We are both passionate about serving others and enjoy working alongside one another. We are currently members at Community Life Church in Sunnyvale and are grateful to have a strong church family to be involved with.
I believe that God created us all with innate intelligence to heal from within. I love chiropractic because it helps remove nervous systems interference so that the body can better heal and express innate intelligence. I believe chiropractic care is for everyone and am specifically passionate about providing chiropractic care for pregnant mamas, infants, and children. In my free time I love to read, spend time outside, workout, and be with family and friends.
I am Webster certified, have completed training with ICPA, and have taken multiple courses over cranial work, breastfeeding and pediatric care. I look forward to taking care of you and your families in the office!
Dr. Michael Lopez
I am Dr. Michael Lopez, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Maverick team. I am eager to meet you and your family soon.
My healthcare journey began at Parker Chiropractic College, over 18 years ago. It's worth noting that Dr. Josh was the first person I ever adjusted, marking a significant start to my chiropractic career. The education and training I received at Parker instilled in me a deep pride, focusing my practice primarily on wellness. My goal is to empower each of you with the knowledge to lead your healthiest lives. I have mastered a wide range of techniques including diversified, drop techniques, Gonstead, and activator. This allows me to tailor treatments to meet your specific needs.
I was born and raised in the small town of Muleshoe, Tx. After graduating high school, I attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 2005. Following that, I went on to Parker Chiropractic College. It was there that I met my lovely wife, Randi, while we both pursued our chiropractic degrees. Together, we are proud parents to two daughters, Charlie (13) and Quinn (11).
Outside of my professional life, I cherish spending time with my family. I also enjoy activities such as hunting and woodworking.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to get to know each of you personally and to serve the Maverick community with dedication and integrity.
Xanth Jeffery, LMT, MMT
Hi! My name is Xanth Jeffery. My journey as a LMT is going on it’s 3rd year. I graduated from HandsOn Therapy Schools of Mesquite, TX in March of 2019 with my certificate for Massage Therapy. Shortly after, I passed the state MBLEX test to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.
I have experience in many modalities of massage including Swedish, Myofascial release, Deep Tissue, Sports/Stretching techniques, and Prenatal massage. I am Hot Stone certified, and I use aromatherapy and hot towels during sessions. Depending on the needs of each person and any goals or concerns they have, will determine the best plan for massage treatment. I tailor a massage to the request and requirements of each client.
My biggest goal as a LMT is to help people have a better connection with their body and understanding of how their body works and functions. I have always had a healing nature and enjoyed helping and caring for others. I was unsure of how to use this gift, and searched for something that gave me a bigger sense of purpose. This healing nature lead me to massage therapy during a big life change and it gave me an anchor.
